City Council Vacancy


Thank you for your interest in serving the community as the District 2 City Council Member of the Anaheim City Council. This position fills a vacancy for a term ending November 2022. The application period closed on 5:00 p.m., September 8, 2021.  At the September 14, 2021 Council meeting, the City Council will review applications and consider making an appointment.

Application Deadline:
Wednesday, September 8, 2021, 5:00 P.M. (Postmarks not accepted)
City Council Appointment:
Tuesday, September 14, 2021 (Regular City Council Meeting)

Anaheim City Council Eligibility Requirements (Section 501 of Anaheim City Charter)

To be eligible to be appointed to the District 2 City Council Member seat, a candidate must be:

  • A citizen of the United States
  • At least 18 years of age
  • A resident and qualified elector of District 2, at least 30 days immediately preceding appointment to office
